I live with my husband, 4 dogs, 3 cats and a few large fish. We both grew up with animals. We opted not to have children so we could devote our time with eachother and our beloved animals...our 'kids'. We have lost many animals throughout the years due to old age, a hit and run,and other painful situations. All but one of our animals are rescues. We rescue many various animals from sea gulls, bats, other birds in order to hopefully fix them in order to release them back into the wild to be free once again. I even rescued a Grey Wolf once. We have had our fair share of the horrible gut-wrenching pain of the loss of a loved one. I lost my family over the years and my husband lost most of his. I used to be a 'Memorial Counslour' in the Mortuary business many years ago. This intailed working with the berieved family members. Thank You for reading this.

Illness, Accident, Natural Causes

I can only say that it is difficult to write 'a little something' reguarding my losses, simply there were too many. I can tell you about one recent loss I had with my baby, my 13 year old Pomeranian. She was my friend, pal, she meant the world to me. When the time came, and there were NO other options, my husband and I took her to the vet and with one shot, she passed away in my arms without even a wimper. It tore me up. I felt a part of my heart, my soul, my very essence was lost. I still have tears but I know someday I will see her again. I have no doubt. I love my family more than anything, all equally. I need to be there for them, they depend on me. You learn, in time, to deal with losses. Time.
