About:
Paul Thomas who was born in Springfield Ohio on June 13, 1947 to Elden and Melissa Sutton Thomas, and passed away on August 15, 2007 in North Franklin, Pa. at the age of 60. While riding his motorcycle he had lived in the Mansfield/Ontario area most of his life moving to Crestline in 1995.

A 1965 graduate of Ontario High School, he retired from Foodtown Corp. after 37 years of service. He currently was employed at Kroger in Bucyrus and was a member of Crestline VFW Post 2920. He enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing, travel, vacations and riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie Ann Dillon Thomas, whom he wed Sept. 2, 1997; his father, Elden Thomas of Ontario; two daughters, Suzanne (David) Ruggles of Greenwich and Melissa (Greg) Hedge of Mansfield; son, Michael (Angela) Thomas of Mansfield; his stepchildren, Todd Wallace and his fiance, JoAnn Rand of Shelby, Tonya (Chuck) Ratliff of Shelby, Tracey Craft of Mansfield, and Travis (Amber) Craft of Johnsville; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Don) Cummins of Ashley; nephew, Michael (Julie) Cummins of Montana; one great-nephew; his mother-in-law, Pauline Schiffer of Shelby; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother; niece, Yolanda Moorehead; and father-in-law, Dick Schiffer.

We will remember him forever.

God works in mysterious ways.
Paul was supposed to have his Grandson Tyler with him on that trip. But a few days before they were to leave Tyler broke his leg and couldn't go. No one else in the family was able to clear their schedules to go with him.

I lost my Grandfather to throat cancer in 1997. My Mom and I were his primary caregivers. Cancer is a terrable disease. It is hard to watch someone you love suffer and know that there is nothing you can do except make them comfortable until God takes them home.
