Afterlife Communication

Dear All

My name is Hugh Palmer, and I am a psychotherapist working at the University of Hull in the UK, undertaking research into the therapeutic implications of bereaved individuals’ experiences of direct contact with the deceased person (i.e the deceased person contacted them directly, not through a medium).

If you have had such an experience, I wonder if you would take part in my survey?

Here is a link to the survey

Best wishes

Hugh

I had a really life-changing experience when my father died; a few weeks after his death, I dreamt about him, then saw him, and just to make sure I knew he was around he rapped on the back door and gave my friends a fright! I have written the story on my blog, and now, 15 years later have decided to research the phenomena, as it is so interesting.

Hi All
Happy new year to all, I so wish I had my dear brother come to me in dreams, or in distance just to show where he is. I not dream, have nightmares, or see or feel him. Saddens me so badly.. I not sure why...

My understanding is that 30-50% of bereaved people experience this, and I'm not sure why some people do and some don't. One possible way, Robbi, is to simply ask your brother, aloud, to let you know he is alright, and see what happens.

My son committed suicide 9 years ago. He wanted a certain song played on his funeral whenever this song is played on the radio or cd the volume goes to the highest without anyone touching it, has happened on many occasions. Alot of other things have happened that shows his presence.

I have had dreams about my dad happy ones its when i wake up and relise it was just a dream, he left me his Jaguar xjs v12 big engine looks very complicated to work on, im a DIY mechanic and last year i had to change the water pump, water hoses and all the fuel lines be one of my biggest jobs on a car that size but it was easy no trobles everything went smooth might be a nothing in it but it was like he was helping me. He was a very clever man and could turn his hand to anything he use to make wooden rocking horse i have started making my first one and guess wot its going very well in time i maybe will be able to start a business from it i think things happen for a reason in life. I miss dad very much but atleast he does not suffer with is illness now which went on for many years, when ever i call out "DAD" the hairs stand up on thr back of my neck is this just my mind doing this.

Well, James (my Dad was also called James :) ) I reckon your Dad is still around you. It sounds like you have some lovely connections going on.

Hi Johanna. I'm glad your son is letting you know he is ok, and if he is doing that, I guess he is letting you know how much he loves you. I was in tears recently, nearly 15 years after my father communicated to me after his death, realising how much love was there for him to have come back to me. With all the reading and research I haver done so far, the word LOVE keeps coming back. Love. It knows no boundaries.

Hugh x
