How I loved that dog. Bean. She was a Boston Terrier and was adored by many, especially myself and my son Taylor. She always slept with me and I remember waking up one morning to find Bean under the covers with her head on my pillow facing me - looking me straight in my eyes! She ended up doing that quite a bit. When she got older, she would snore so loud I was unable to fall asleep with her nearby so my son offered to allow Bean to sleep in his bed. Taylor couldn't bare to see Bean have to sleep alone. Bean was so funny, she could open the cupboards with her paw where I kept her dog bones and she would knock the box over and help herself! She would dash after my son's friends when they would walk quickly by and leap onto their legs and hump vigorously! The boys would die laughing and say, "Bean! I like you, but not like that!" She was a character for sure! Bean died suddenly (her thorat collasped!) a month prior to my son drowning. I figured it was because my son did not know anyone who had died prior to him and Bean was prepared to die before him to keep him company. I miss them both so much. www.TaylorBurgstahler.memory-of.com |

So sorry for your losses. I can't imagine loosing a son but I know when my aunt lost her son (my cousin) in a car accident she was devastated and still is after all these years. A priest told me not long after my dad passed away that God would not creat us if once we died that it was over, he said that our bodies are just a shell, but what lives on is our soul. So I know that Taylor is with you in spirit. Bean sounds as though she was a great dog, I also lost my dog Pugsy a couple of months ago, he was a Pug, he was old but he was such a companion and friend. I still have two other dogs, but Pugsy will always have a special place in my heart.. |
